Paracetamol, Water & Sleep

A steamroller
My head was in its way...

Urghhhhh.... man do I feel like I've been hit with a steamroller! I wake up at 8 am in the morning and I've got the shakes... yes I'm laying in bed and looking like I've been afflicted with Parkinson's disease overnight to make me repent my Tequila sins... gawd I feel like crap! But I'm 70 miles from home, so need to do something to get me ready for the road trip. A miracle would have been handy... :)

A blast in a scorching shower... (ok so I didn't have the strength to turn the cold tap on) in which I find for some reason I've a strange affinity with the shower curtain (do you know how difficult it is to have a shower when the shower curtain sticks to your flesh every time you move??!!), and I'm feeling a few more levels above deceased. I just about hit living after filling up on a Bacon Sandwich and a cup of tea (thanks Rich!) and a fag (thanks me!) :)

I then head off into Harlow to have a poke around the shops (and in all honesty just to waste some time so I figure I'm safe to drive) and whilst I'm meandering, I get the films developed of last nights events, which you can have a look at here.

I have to say, having some recollection of what was on the film before I got it developed, I did wonder if there would be the distinct possiblity that when I picked the film up there'd be a police swat team waiting for me - luckily though there wasn't - but the photo's certainly made me smile! That's the good thing about random drunken photography, you never know what you'll get! :)

nurofen
A modern medical miracle...

I then head home and after being delayed by somewhat of a nasty accident on the M25 which had happened and I roll up to the house at about 3pm, open the door, walk upstairs and crawl into bed. 3 hours later I get up, have some tea, watch some telly, soak in the bath and then.... you guessed it, go back to sleep.

Man, I'm so not cut out for drinking!!! Either that or I'm badly out of practice, why I remember the time when..... [insert random drunken university tale here] :)

I also had a squizz at my email, and find out my friend who seems to have been pregnant for *EVER* has finally popped some 2 weeks over due! So congratulations to The Tequila Queen, don't worry lady, I've got a bottle on ice for ya ;)

re: shower curtains.

A University of Massachusetts (USA) professor did a study of why shower curtains are drawn inward when one takes a shower.

You can read more than you will ever want to know about what happens at the link below:

http://www.fluent.com/about/news/newsletters/01v10i2/a8.htm

The short answer is a low pressure area is created by a vortex. Thus, the higher pressure air outside the shower curtain presses inward (or the lower pressure area sucks the curtain inward, depending on how you want to view it). I think. Physics was not my strongest class...
