Packing & Pasta

an iron
Ironing, an early form of torture.

Another equally busy day today, rushing around trying to get things packed for our weekend away. Unfortuately for me that involves ironing too, something which I will try my hardest to avoid for perhaps 365 days of the year ;)

So after packing enough clothes for an entire fortnight away (my fault entirely, I can't decide what I am actually going to wear so just shove everything in the case I think might be a possibilty) I then get tea prepared so that as soon as Phil comes home we can have tea, load up the car and head off on the 4 hour trip to my parents.

The trip there was fine, we arrived at around 11pm after leaving here at around 7pm. I'm still a bit miffed that I have to pay to get into my own country however! £4.80 to go across a bridge which has probably been paid for umpteen times over by now is a little steep IMHO.

Oh, and incase you didn't know, the Labour party won the election here again for the 3rd time in a row (what a surprise!), but with its majority much reduced. So far as I'm concerned, 3rd time lucky does not apply in this case.
