another suprising IE disappointment
Ok, so I've been trying to skin this blog for the past week. And considering this should be a job that would take someone of my "skinning" experience probably the best part of a day, you could say that my performance so far has been somewhat lack-lustre. But it isn't due to my being a lazy cow. No. It is in fact because of the innate inability for microsoft to create a browser that doesn't run like treacle.
We are using the new version of MT and after waiting for seemingly hours for the templates to load so I can edit them, and then waiting a further day or so for the browser to actually let me edit a character, and then waiting for a further week for the browser to actually recognise I typed something two days ago I decided that perhaps I would just give up and forget the whole idea.
But you know I actually want to finish this site, it's getting under my skin and I'm pissed I haven't got as far as I liked so I decided to figure out wtf was going on and if there was anything I could do to make my life a bit easier. Strangely there was. It's a complicated and virtually unheard of solution but for all you others out there suffering in the same way I herald this advice:-
