looking the part

Been out shoppping today - it was an early start too, well not so early as I didn't have time to accidentally put my mobile phone in the washing machine and stick it on a 30 degree daily wash cycle. Stupid me. I did wonder when I rang my number from the landline to try and find out where my phone was why it diverted straight to voicemail and happily the clunk, clunk, clunk around the washer drum was as gooder indicator as any as to the location of my now newly laundered Nokia.

Oh well, it is now drying out in the vain hope that it will start again, if not I suppose I can live with one of the miriad of random disused phones we have hanging about.

Anyway. So I went shopping today with the prime aim of purchasing a work wardrobe - I have outgrown many of the smart items I had previously and so need some new stuff so I look semi respectable in my new job. Its a bit odd this job you see because instead of working for an IT company it'll be working for a marketing company that does IT, so a slightly different atmosphere no doubt.

Suffice to say after much foot pounding of the streets I've mustered up a few outfits that hopefully I can mix and match throughout the week. I failed miserably however to get an additional pair of smart shoes that are comfortable, I suspect I'll have to either order online or nip into my other favourite shopping centre to get that.

On the way home I had a few pit stops, one at a craft shop to pick up some things to help make my packaging look cool for the xmas stall, and the second stop to pick up some new telephones for the house since the old set are truely broken.
