The Grand Event in a Little Village

200 Million year old decor candi
Up early this morning to go through some paper work and then we head off to "The Big Event" which is I can only liken to the equivalent of a village fete on steroids! There is plenty to do and lots to see and as we poke around the stores we stumble upon a lady who is selling a rather impressive array of fossils. I immediatly spot 2 that I like and so put a deposit down on both pieces and tell the lady we will return later to collect (since we didn't have enough cash on us to pay the total amount). So, much as I lusted after a hog roast pork bap I saved myself by not having any money to buy one and instead we had a quick walk around at the other displays (noticeably, a load of F1 cars, lots of old cars, a rock climb wall, it's a knock out games and have a listen to the band "Purple Heidi" that are playing (quite good to say the least!).
We then head off to the super market to get the shopping done and wander home to have a spot of lunch.

Giving some old metal some welly...
At around 3 we go back to the big event where Agnese joins us - there was the slim chance of the red devils doing a parachute jump and and old spit fire doing an aerobatics display but the weather just didn't clear up enough for either so we pick up the fossils we'd bought earlier and just as we are on the way out we hear via the organisers radios that one of the F1 cars was going to do a display. So we hung around a bit to have a gander and what can I say! Having never heard an F1 car in the flesh I was left much deafer than previously diagnosed and interested enough to think that Phil and I should get to an actual F1 event some time next year!
Back at the house and I cook Sunday dinner and we watch Final Destination (1) and generally unwind from the day.
