For hands that do dishes... use them for something better - EAT CAKE!

an english afternoon tea
Sandwiches, cakes and scones, oh my!

Lots to do today with bits and pieces of work and an unavoidable appoinment to be met, but once all of that was out of the way there were a few minutes to do other things.

First up was to catch up on the washing, the pile was looking a little monsterous, and then to do a bit of tidying up outside since the patio area was looking a little ramshackle to say the least and it was beginning to annoy me. It didn't help that the wind was at gale force 9, but suffice to say that brushing with the wind was more productive than trying to brush debris against it!

I also had a semi-aborted attempt at tidying up the guest bedroom which has become a bit of a dumping ground, but I did box up one lot of clothes that don't currently fit which can go into the attic for the time being until I can get my body back into them (sorry, they cost a bit too much for my generosity to allow me to give them to charity!).

Very late on Agnese and I went into Oxford so that she could enjoy the delights of a traditional english high tea since she'd never had one, so we sat and chatted, and scoffed, curtousy of the Randolph Hotel.

No gym tonight as it was far too late by the time I got home, but I did make good progress on getting a dog sitter sorted for Rupert whilst we are away in October, thank heavens for good neighbours!
