Look at me Ma, I can draw!
Back to school me thinks!
Mucho excitement today as my new graphics tablet has arrived. I had one many years ago, but it was the size of a small dinner table and was really more akin to doing CAD stuff than playing in photoshop. So after a fair amount of consideration I opted to go for a Wacom Intuos4. Much as I liked the Cintiq it was a bit out of the price range I was considering!
The intuos4 comes in a range of sizes but after talking to Phil we decided the Large would be a good punt since it's akin to having an a4 piece of paper to draw on.
Out of the box it was really easy to set up with good integration into Vista, but that was the easy bit! I've been trying to remap my brain to get used to using the Pen but I'm not quite there yet. I think it's one of those things that with practice will get easier and easier and I can already appreciate the versitility of using a pen over a mouse, especially for things like photo retouching etc.
I guess all need to do now is set time aside each day to practice a little more and get used to the feel of it and how it operates.
